Program Description:
Participants will listen to a review of the current literature on strategies to prescribe antibiotics more effectively and then have an opportunity to discuss challenging clinical scenarios and strategies for improvement.

Learning Objectives: 
  1. Identify at least one antibiotic that is losing its efficacy in the Midwest.
  2. Name an acceptable alternative to azithromycin for treating community acquired bacterial pneumonia.
  3. Identify the first-line antibiotic for the large majority of dental infections.

Target Audience: 
Physicians and mid-level providers in any specialty, but specifically those in diagnostic specialties including primary care, internal medicine, pediatrics, critical care and emergency medicine. Quality professionals would also find this content useful.
